Waste Services Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2009

Waste Services Inc. (wsii)reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported EBITDA from continuing operations of $28.2 million compared with $28.0 million for the same period a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations was $28.5 million compared with $28.9 million for the same period a year ago.

For the nine months, the company reported EBITDA from continuing operations of $75.3 million compared with $80.4 million for the same period a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations was $74.9 million compared with $82.8 million for the same period a year ago. Net cash flows provided by continuing operations was $47.2 million compared with $48.9 million for the same period a year ago.
