Horchata Shake


This is a great drink up to 4 servings



1 Cup well-cooked rice(read notes on rice)

1 Cup vanilla frozen rice milk ice cream substitute or 1 Cup vanilla ice cream

2 Cups rice milk low-fat (1%) milk

1/4 Cup of sugar

1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 Teaspoon vanilla

1/4 Teaspoon salt

4 Ice cubes

1. Combine rice, rice milk ice cream substitute, rice milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and ice cubes in blender.



2. Blender on high until mixture is frothy and ice cubes are finely ground, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.



3. Place a strainer over a pitcher. Pour the horchata through the strainer. Discard the pur'eed rice in the strainer. Serve immediately or chill for several hours. stir well before pouring.



NOTES : Rice should be soft enough to mash with fork.
