Soul legend Isaac Hayes, who left us with well crafted and creative music from the 70's died on Aug 10Th,2008 in his Memphis, Tennessee home. He was 65 years of age.
Hayes, who co-wrote ``Soul Man'' and ``You Don't Know Like I Know,'' won an Oscar for best musical score for ``Shaft,'' according to his Web site. The song and the movie score also won Grammy awards for best original score and movie theme. Hayes, whose work influenced disco, urban-contemporary music and rap, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
This Man was truly a genius at his best. I wish the best to his family and we will all miss the beautiful dark smooth tone voice that polished Rock, urban soul, and rap music for other to engage on.
