Man sues Sandia Resort and Casino for $1.6 Million dollars

Was this money won fear and square? In my thought, I think this patron deserve his cash, ex specially when a casino can make up to 34 million on a good night. On august 16, 2007, Mr. Gary Hoffman was playing an entertaining game of "Mystical Mermaid", a nickle slot machine until he hit it big (or thou he thought) for $1,597,244.10. Well the nickle slot machine read these numbers but was reviewed as an error.

Hoffman was accompanied by employees and other Casino Goers congratulating this surprised retired city employee, Hoffman said, he even got a marriage proposal. He then was invited to a private conference room to be told the machine malfunctioned and he would be paid the amount attended cost to 1.6 million dollars.

A casino employee "became quite intimidating with me, pointed his finger in my face and said, 'You didn't win. We're not paying you any money. Do you understand what I'm telling you? You're not getting any money,'" Hoffman said.

A technician from the slot machine manufacturer arrived at the casino within the hour and the casino cordoned off the machine with yellow tape.

The only thing this man was afford was $385 and a small deal of free dining. Being that some Native American Casinos operate laws a Little different from U.S Court systems, how this going to stand jury? I don't know but I will find out and let you guys know really soon.
